COFF
Located on Fouad Street, one of Alexandria’s most storied avenues, COFF was designed as a contemporary reinterpretation of the city’s layered identity. Where heritage meets youthful creative spirit, daily coffee rituals become part of a larger narrative of community and belonging.
The design draws inspiration from Alexandria’s coastal light, Mediterranean palette, and early 20th-century architecture. Curves, arches, sculptural forms, tactile plastered walls, and rounded seating islands reflect movement, fluidity, and connection. Warm copper accents, linear lighting, and textured surfaces echo the city’s patina, aged by salt and sun.
Spatially, COFF is a layered journey: open seating zones, intimate corners, and a mezzanine overlook create a vertical connection, balancing openness and coziness. Materials and finishes emphasize warmth, durability, and craft, while daylight is treated as a design element, enhancing architectural rhythm and creating dynamic shadows throughout the day.
